VINTAGE TAILORING ARCHIVE

THE SHAPE OF THE 1950s

Made-to-order statement dresses and eveningwear shaped by movement, structure and controlled drape. The design looks back to the bold forms of 1950s Balenciaga.

FROM ARCHITECTURE TO CLOTHING

Rather than following the body closely, the jacket creates space around it. The upper shape is rounded and full, with a large sculpted collar and sleeves marked by inserted piping.

The lines also come from 1950s architecture and interior design. Curved buildings and wire-framed chairs inspired the balance between softness and structure.

The result is a tailored look that feels both vintage and modern.

A NEW VIEW OF VINTAGE

The design does not copy the past. It takes the volume, shape and confidence of 1950s fashion and places them in a new setting. The oversized collar gives the piece drama. The rounded sleeves soften the shape. The narrow skirt keeps the full upper body in balance. The result feels familiar, but not old.
